Thanks for checking us (me) out! I’m Jean-Luc, the company owner, Bookkeeping, HR, & Payroll consultant, and site owner extraordinaire.
A bit about myself, I graduated in 2018 from Trent University where I received my B.Sc. in Psychology & Biology, focused mostly on neuroscience and human interaction, which sparked a curiosity in how and why people do what they do, and what do people do? They work mainly.
From there, I have studied and completed a diploma in Accounting & Payroll through Seneca Polytechnic (formerly: Seneca College), as well as a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and diploma in Business. I am currently studying at the University of Guelph to complete my Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
My experience and education has made me eligible for the Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP), formerly the Certified Payroll Manager designation (CPM) and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designations.
I currently work full-time as a Payroll & HRIS Lead, with previous experience as an HR/Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable & Payroll Manager, and an HR/Payroll Specialist and doing so, am well-versed in a variety of areas including payroll processing & management, bookkeeping, tax returns, recruiting, compensation, and have extensive knowledge in provincial and federal employment standards legislation.
