The Business Services on offer include, but are not limited to:
Business Registration (Provincial & Federal)
You’re ready to take the plunge but not quite sure who all you have to tell about your business? Certainly friends, family, social media! But, most importantly – the government! They want to know everything you are doing, and you want to protect yourself! Setting up your business and registering either federally or with your province is very important and having a registered business opens you up to lots of opportunities, and most importantly, reduced liability in your businesses dealings. Which option should you choose? Let us help you make that decision!
Huron Business Services (“HBS”) is incredibly happy to walk through the process with you and register your business name, set you up as a corporation or perhaps as a sole proprietorship, and get you going!
Business Taxation Set-up (GST/HST)
Let HBS set your GST/HST account up appropriately and get your employer tax number and employer payroll number – both are important and critical in reporting your taxes to the Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”). Usually this set-up is done along with getting your business number.
Business ROE Web Set-up
When an employee leaves your employ, you are required to create and submit a Record of Employment. While you can do this on paper, it’s much easier and faster to do it online or even have your accounting/payroll software do this for you! Let HBS help set-up your ROE Web account and we can even assist in your first or ongoing Record’s of Employment, including determining the best code to use and teach you how the form works, how to fill it in, etc.
Business Payroll Tax Set-up
HBS is happy to help set your payroll source deductions up appropriately and even link it with your business bank account and/or accounting software. All employers are required to appropriately deduct and remit back taxes, CPP (Canada Pension Plan) and EI (Employment Insurance) to the Canada Revenue Agency (Or Québec Revenue Agency in Québec!) and help determine the how and most importantly, when, your payroll deductions from your employee(s) are required to be sent to the government.
We are also able to help set-up your business employer health tax account (EHT) for Ontario, even if your business is exempt – one day it may not be and it’s better to be prepared!
